Medical Documents

The production of accurate records and correspondence is vital to the safety of patients. If you are a secretary, receptionist, manager or, indeed, employed in any administrative grade, the chances are that you be called upon to produce documents relating to a patient’s treatment

Award in Production of Medical Documents from Recorded Speech

(Level 2)

The aim of the AMSPAR Level 2 Award is to enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills to use audio equipment and software in order to produce a range of routine and professional medical documents.

They will learn the techniques to transcribe recorded speech of a routine nature and containing medical terminology. Learners will learn how to interpret relevant information and use a range of word processing techniques to produce, format and print documents that are common in a medical environment.

Learners will also learn the importance of proofreading their work and how to use appropriate checking methods to produce accurate and professional documents.

The AMSPAR Level 2 Award in Production of Medical Documents from Recorded Speech is accredited by Ofqual and is listed in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (6 credits).
