Medical terminology is at the heart of healthcare, whether NHS or private and is used in every specialty. If you are a secretary, receptionist, manager or, indeed, employed in any administrative grade, the chances are that you will need a good grasp of medical terminology to do your job effectively.
The aim of the AMSPAR Level 2 Award is to provide learners, who have no previous knowledge of the subject, with a grounding in the correct construction, recognition and usage of medical terminology. Examinations are held in January and June. This programme can be studied at home or through a recognised centre
AMSPAR can provide a booklet which contains a reading list and sample examination paper. It also contains the aims and objectives of the qualification.
